The Franciscan Sisters, TOR seek to renew the contemplative dimension of the Third Order Regular and desire to make known God’s merciful love to the poor, the sick, and the un-evangelized and to renew the fullness of Catholic life through our life of prayer, work and ministry.
The Franciscan Sisters seek an experienced Director of Development to manage all aspects of fundraising, planned giving, grant writing, constituent relations, special events, public relations and communications. The Director will help to prepare the Order for an upcoming capital campaign and play a key role in its’ successful execution and completion.The Director of Development reports directly to the Reverend Mother.
Requirements:
Three to five years of development experience within a school, college, university or other non-profit setting. Highly developed organizational skills with demonstrated ability to set and achieve challenging goals. An ability to interact effectively with all constituencies of the community utilizing outstanding interpersonal skills; management experience with volunteers essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership experience with annual giving, capital campaigns, planned giving, grant writing, major gifts and donor cultivation and stewardship. Must be a self-starter, multi-tasking person who can work in a single person office. Commitment to teamwork. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus. Knowledge of the Catholic Church is essential, general knowledge of religious communities advantageous.
